Danny HooperVision and focus are Danny Hooper's trademarks. He is a classic Western Canadian entrepreneur - a true risk taker. Those qualities appeared early. As described in his 1995 song "John Deere Tractor Keys," young Danny would scheme for hours about leaving home to seek his fame and fortune as he worked in the fields of the family ranch near Tomahawk, Alberta.

Bio/HistoryDanny developed his talent by entertaining at socials and dances with his three-piece band called the Hayloft Rangers. He was a finalist in a CFCW radio talent contest that led to a recording contract with Royalty Records and a 1976 Juno nomination for Best New Male Vocalist. But he didn't stop there. At the age of 22, Danny and his father, Don, opened Edmonton's first exclusive country music showroom/nightclub: Danny Hooper's Stockyard. It was a concept years ahead of its time - the first Nashville North. In 1986, after six successful years of operation, a softening economy forced the Stockyard to close its doors. So Danny chose to take a hiatus from the entertainment industry and focus his energies on a new career, real estate. Success came early. In just three and a half years, he was admitted to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame placing in the TOP 75 out of over 30,000 RE/MAX Associates; by 1991, he was named Realtor of the Year. In 1992 and 1993, Danny traveled extensively across North America conducting motivational and sales training seminars for RE/MAX. But despite his great success as a realtor, Danny yearned to return to his first love, the entertainment business. In early 1994, he did exactly that, forming Danny Hooper Productions Inc. That year, he was invited to host and MC Canada's largest outdoor country music festival, The Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose - a position he has returned to each year since. Today he has created a lucrative niche in the special events business. As a recording artist, The Danny Hooper Show entertains a broad spectrum of people annually throughout Western Canada and the US Pacific Northwest and has received rave reviews. Danny is backed by the Honky Tonk Heroes, a popular western Canadian band from Calgary, Alberta. Danny has recorded a new CD every two years since 'The John Deere Tractor
Keys' in 1995. His 1997 album entitled 'Eleven Roses' produced the ARIA Music
Video of the Year Award for a song entitled 'Beer Commercial', which was
written by Danny's neighbor! 1999 saw the release of 'The Stockyard Collection',
followed in 2001 by a live album of the hugely popular 'Danny Today, Danny is much more than just a singer/songwriter. Beyond working, Often, he combines all of these services with the Show to offer a value-added entertainment package to his satisfied customers. Danny has now added 'acting' to his portfolio. He recently produced the first 6 episodes of a new country music comedy television series called The Barn Satellite Network. Seen on CMT and Global, the show received excellent reviews from viewers and negotiations are currently underway for another 13 episodes. On the music front, Danny recently released a brand new CD called '31 Days in Austin'. The album was produced by Redd Volkaert and recorded over the course of a full year at Wire Sound in Austin, with the 13 original Danny Hooper songs performed by some of the hottest musicians in the business, many of whom have played for Merle Haggard, George Strait, Asleep at the Wheel, and Loretta Lynn. In response to growing demand, 2004 finds Danny focusing more on his emcee, fundraising auctioneer, and professional speaking activities. He returns this summer for his eleventh consecutive year as the host and emcee of Canada's largest outdoor music festival, The Big Valley Jamboree held in Camrose, Alberta July 29 to August 1, 2004.
