Lead Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Songwriter

Linda is lead vocalist, songwriter, manager, acoustic guitar, mandolin, and learning banjo for Rooster In A Henhouse. “This project is my heart and soul…how wonderful is it to be able to share music with wonderful audiences every night, make new friends, and share the stage with your closest friends…not to mention the bling bling!”

Linda has been a CCMA member for many years and recorded her first CD in Nashville in 2000. She has being playing with a number of projects and as a solo act for many years in the Calgary area. Since RIAH was formed in 2001, Linda has enjoyed the many great shows the band has been invited to perform at such as the Calgary Stampede, World Petroleum show, and opening for great bands such as TORONTO and Emerson Drive.

Currently Linda is working on original songs with the band in the hopes of recording the first ever Rooster In A Henhouse CD. “A special thanks to everyone who has supported us, and to my wonderful band mates for the best six years of my life…..looking so forward to many more!!!”

Bass Guitar, Lead Vocals, Background Vocals

Bassist Jody Lee has been on the Calgary music scene for a number of years, and has provided the smooth solid beat for many diverse acts. They include BandWarz winners Days of Eden (eclectic original rock), recording act Robert Burton and the Strange (soulful swamp blues), and party-band extraordinaire Dynaflo.

Jody's early vocal training had also stood her in good stead. She delivers energetic lead and backing vocals while still keeping that strong bass rhythm. While in conversation with Sylvia Tyson at the 2003 CCMA Awards Gala, Jody was told, "a bass player who can sing is worth more than diamonds." That was a career gem!

Guitar, background vocals

I play acoustic guitar, sing back up vocals and some lead vocals, and other various rhythm instruments in the band. I started my music career in my early 20's with classical vocal other words...operatic stuff! I was just getting tired of singing in German when an opportunity came my way in the form of the band Mississippi Steamboat. I sang with Mississippi for a few years, and when that ended, formed a new band called Devilish Mary with some of the remaining members. Shortly after, I met Greg Musgrave, who asked me to do some studio work with his death metal band Caveat. This quickly grew into a full-fledged project band. I sang with my death metal band Blacksky for two years, and we put out a CD called Illumination, which was recently picked up by the label Cyclone Records ( I stared singing with Rooster part time while still involved with Blacksky. When the metal project ended, I was asked to join Rooster full time. Yay!
