The Sixties Band“The Sixties” are a group of professional musicians dedicated to playing the music of the 1960’s. This decade was a watershed era in music, spawning genres and styles that continue to reverberate in today’s music.

Bio/HistoryThe group features strong vocals and harmonies which were so often a hallmark of 60’s bands along with tight musical arrangements featuring the dynamic playing of seasoned musical veterans. The individual players have a wealth of recording and performing experience and share a passion for this music. The Sixties are; Rob Roy – vocals and guitar From the early years of the decade the The Sixties play Cathy’s Clown – Everly Brothers, Little Sister – Elvis Presley, Green Onions – Booker T & the MGs. Next they move into the British invasion with I Saw Her Standing There and A Hard Days Night – Beatles, All The Day and All The Night – The Kinks, House of the Rising Sun – The Animals. Then comes the mid-sixties hits of Johnny Rivers, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, The Guess Who, Wilson Picket, The Young Rascals, Van Morrison, Paul Revere and the Raiders and many others. And no trip through the music of the 60’s would be complete without classic garage-band rockers like; Louie Louie, Gloria and Dirty Water. A lastly The Sixties play music from the final years of that great decade by groups such as Buffalo Springfield, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, The Beatles, and Crosby Stills Nash and Young.
