Wild Colonial Boys

Bio:

A unique blend of nationalities, musical talent, and personalities come together to create a rousing group of entertainers that can excite a crowd. They have been the house band at the Calgary Folk Club for almost 20 years, and were representatives of Alberta at Expo 86, in New York's Greenwich Village and the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics. This band is versatile, lively and love to share their music and enjoyment with others.

The Wild Colonial Band are a willful and cantankerous band, and are therefore well-suited to playing folk music. For more time than is polite to mention, the Band has been stoic in their dedication to folk music, and yet completely open-minded in their acceptance of several young, brash upstarts who have happened their way. Most importantly, they know that fiddles sound really good in pairs.
